Adjust Siren Volume

Adjust Siren Volume

The Vanolarm audible alarm units have been designed to both dissuade theft through an ear piercing sound whilst ensuring others in the local vicinity can here the alarm once activated. To this degree the alarm rings at a volume of 113db/115db, enough to ensure the alarm is raised and also disturb a thief once outside/inside the building. To this aim we recommend not changing the default load setting on the alarm. This said, there are 3 volume settings available which can easily be changed using the key fob should user wish to reduce sound (as not to disturb the neighbours etc) . The user can also changed the type of tone the alarm gives out, with three different options.

Setting up Volume adjustment:

1.      Pre-setting mode. Press and hold the disarm button (2nd down, rectangle, open padlock image), the audible alarm will continually ring the disarming sound (please ignore this disarming sound) . Hold until the remote control light (around the arming button above) turns off,  keep holding until and control light comes back on again, then immediately release the disarm button. The audible alarm will then be ready for Setting up in relation to either the ,Vibration sensitivity, Volume or SOS feature as  below
2.      Volume setting. First ensure you have engaged the pre-setting mode (1 above). To adjust the volume of the siren/audible alarm press the SOS/Bell button (4th down, rectangle, Bell image) in rotation from high to low and stop at the desired level of 3 option you require. i.e. Press once for highest volume, press 3 times for lowest volume
